1917 flu epidemic. But remember- tHe HoMoSeXuAlS aRe ThE EvIL OnES ThAt WiLl HaRm OuR ChILdReN. The pure audacity of this church to pass judgment on ANYONE because they don't conform to their manipulated storyline is disgusting. People are degenerates going to Hell because they're LGBTQ, a different or non religion, or want religion out of politics but the Catholic Church has condoned the RAPING OF CHILDREN by hiding these abuses, and protecting the priests by continuing to move them to a different parish where the behavior just continues. How dare they pass judgment on ANYONE? It's just a drop in the bucket in helping ruined & scarred lives, but let's see them used some of that wealth they've hoarded for large compensation- no matter how long ago it occured. And if they go bankrupt, well, thoughts & prayers. Try a Go-Fund-Me like most of America.

1917 running scene. 1917 one shot. 1917 running time. 1917 dvd release date. 1917 charge scene. Although it did not start out that way. It started with this slow burn the used to set up the camera motion that remained constant through the film. If you ever seen Birdman you get the idea. This camera motion helped keep the movie going and full of energy at the same time the angels put us right in the action. We basically saw everything from the point of view of the protagonist.
It seems like all these world war movie have that same cinematic tone. Feels like they just started to invent color in 1917. It's a cool feeling that makes them all match up and I note it makes it easier to conceal certain effects.
Overall, this movie gave good energy and is one of the best war epics I laid eyes on.

1917 cuts. I like your enthusiasm, but I believe there's actually one or two that are even older. IIRC the oldest one is like a 5-second short of a kid drawing a kanji or something. Edit: Here's the one I'm thinking of, 1907 so an entire decade earlier. It's 50 frames long and consists of a boy writing the name of the short, which is literally "Moving Picture". It seems like Namakura Gatana is the second oldest though, or at least the second oldest that is still remembered/recorded. I've been quite interested in WW1 especially with a lot of time to study it more thoroughly. The Americans had a minuscule army and an elderly officer corps. They figured there was no possibility of sending anything besides a token force until 1919 or so. Shipping was a huge concern, US merchant fleet was just as tiny as the army. From what I've read, The UK especially provided shipping to get U. S. troops in large numbers to France as quickly as possible, even if they had to be sent en masse without proper training and no plan was to integrate American troops in British and French formations, which didn't happen, but the sped up troop movements did, with the U. S, troops being armed by Britain and France. In WW1 just like WW2, logistics was everything, the allies needed those ships for their own war material and had little to spare for transporting American troops, especially with the losses to U-boats. A single infantry division required 300 tons of supplies per day. Eventually the logistics problems were solved, but trade offs had to be made. Moving several million green troops and their equipment over the Atlantic and keeping them supplied wasn't quite the simple thing that many seem to believe. These were green troops compared to the French and British, but their moral contribution with their vast manpower finally making it to Europe was a vital contribution to the Entente's victory.

1917 yts. 1917 bande annonce. 1917 oscars. Level 1 They drink many times. It means multiple shots. level 2 There are also guns that shot bullets. level 2 The cameraman runs across a field, and the camera moves up and down. This is a subtle nod. level 1 They had to restart the film over and over because of the medics dressing wounds, this is a wrap. level 1 How could the director from skyfall do this I believed it was taken in one shot but then there's a cut damn cant trust anyone level 2 I’m literally shaking and crying rn the director of sky fall would never do this level 2 And same as Jack Reacher which was based on the Book "one shot", but there were many shots in the movie, making the movie an unfaithful adaption of the book. I am absolutely pissing my pants level 1 All jokes aside. Is it a good movie? Haven’t watched it yet and wouldn’t mind. Depending on the reviews I get on here lol level 2 Oh yeah it's incredible. Might wanna look up warnings though there's some potentially upsetting stuff in there. level 2 It was a fantastic movie. I’d highly recommend it. I also recommend watching it in the dark, alone, because it’s really immersive that way. I saw it in theaters and the old ladies behind me kept talking and taking me out of the moment which was super frustrating. In the rare moments of silence from them though I was totally sucked in. level 2 It was amazing. The stress was palpable. I cried in the end. level 2 Since that movie was taken in "one shot" (there are a few cuts but they are invisible), I was afraid that the movie was slow and boring, but that wasn't the case, the 2 hours felt really short. There's some action, but not the "Michael bay" kind of action, it's more realistic, which makes this movie even more immersive. It's a great movie. level 2 Best war movie I've watched since Saving Private Ryan level 2 I'm going to be the first one to say that it wasn't all that great. First of all, the music was distractingly out of place in several scenes. It was really cheesy and Michael Bayish when it came to action, for example the plane crash and the INDOOR EXPLOSION that knocks both characters to the ground but leaves no physical injuries. It does nothing to explore or question the protagonists' disdain towards the enemy, which is even worse when you consider that WW1 was much more "gray" than WW2 in terms of whom were actually the "bad guys". And the disparity between the march the movie tells you the characters have made and the actual physical movement that plays out in real time is jarring. level 2 I don't like war movies and thought it was incredible. There are some really heavy themes though just a heads up level 2 Not to spoil anything, but it takes part in 1917.

1917 trailer reaction. 1917 movie showtimes. 1917 netflix. 1917 enfield rifle. Enjoyed every frame. Enough said. Thanks and goodnight. 1917 awards. 1917 behind the scenes. 1917 sixteen hundred men. 1917 final scene. 1917 trailer español. 1917 last scene. 1917 oscar win. 1917 imax. 1917 oscar. 1917 flare scene. 1917 war. 1917 trailer cz. 1917 is a war film co-written and directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall. Starring George Mackay and Dean-Charles Chapman, it is a raw, down-to-earth account of a significant moment in the First World War shown off with beautiful cinematography.
During World War I on April 6, 1917, one section of the British army are informed that the Germans are faking a retreat as a means to ambush an attacking Battalion of more than 1,600 men. Since the Germans have cut all technological lines of communication, there is no normal way of letting the Battalion know that they are being led into a trap. Left with no other option, two young British soldiers Schofield (George Mackay) and Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) are tasked with delivering a handwritten warning letter to the Battalion, with whom the latter's brother is a part of. With time clearly not on their side, the two of them must carefully navigate through dangerous enemy territory to transfer the message before it is too late.
Cleverly utilising both landscape and its actors to tell a compelling story, 1917 may be one of the most ingenious war films to grace cinemas in quite some time. Much like Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk before it, the film uses the backdrop of a World War to show how every second counts in just about all important situations. We are constantly on edge over whether or not these brave young men will survive any obstacles they are put through, from the rat-infested trenches of no-man's land to an eerily quiet abandoned farm. The theme of mateship is evidently shown throughout, with both soldiers ready to risk it all to defend each other in the face of these hardships.
Co-writer/director Sam Mendes, who based this film on stories his grandfather Alfred told him as a child, brilliantly implements the work of acclaimed cinematographer Roger Deakins to give the impression that the whole thing is shot in one take. This puts the audience into the perspective of a World War I soldier, feeling all the claustrophobia of the cramped trenches and the shell shock of nearby explosions. There were several moments where I wondered how certain things would be shown to the audience without the need to cut away but each time the film amazingly found ways to do this. This is similar to Alejandro G. Inarritu's 2014 film "Birdman" and Alfred Hitchcock's 1948 classic "Rope" which were also edited to look like they were filmed in one continuous take. While there are apparently some hidden cuts at times, there is only one that is plainly obvious. I am intrigued to figure out where the other cuts are and repeated viewings should help in that regard.
Relatively low-key actors George Mackay and Dean-Charles Chapman each do a fine job of carrying the film, much like their characters carrying the important message to the unsuspecting Battalion. The decision not to have big name actors in the lead roles works to the film's advantage, as it does not distract from the fact that these are supposed to be normal everyday soldiers who don't stand out in a crowd. With that said, more well known cast members like Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Andrew Scott make for welcome additions to the film playing minor but crucial supporting roles.
In conclusion, while it may seem that the horrors of war have already been shown off enough by this point, the film proves that if it is told correctly, we can still be informed of how difficult things were for any soldier on the front line risking it all for not only his country but his fellow man. The sense of public duty and overall determination is a powerful thing, and at the end of it all, it is what keeps the human race going as a species.
I rate it a solid 9/10.
